Meet Your Trainer

The Person Behind Debbie's Dog Training

I'm Debbie Longo, and I believe successful dog training begins with understanding behavior, not simply correcting it.

My background in behavioral coaching has taught me the importance of recognizing patterns, understanding what influences behavior, and developing practical strategies for change. I bring that perspective to working with dogs and their owners.

I believe that owners play an essential role in the training process. My approach focuses on helping you understand your dog's responses, communicate more effectively, and develop the confidence to guide your dog through everyday situations.

Three principles guide the way I work:

Understanding

Taking the time to recognize each dog's individual behaviors, needs, and learning patterns.

Communication

Teaching clear, practical techniques that help dogs understand what is expected of them.

Partnership

Working directly with owners so they have the knowledge and confidence to continue training independently.

The Core Belief

Successful training isn't just about what your dog learns. It's about what you learn together.

My goal is to give you the understanding, tools, and confidence to guide your dog's behavior long after our training sessions end.

WORKING WITH DEBBIE

A Personal Approach to Dog Training

I believe that working with a dog trainer should be a positive learning experience for both you and your dog. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, discussing challenges, and learning practical techniques without feeling judged or overwhelmed.

Every owner has different expectations, routines, and concerns. I take the time to listen, understand what you're experiencing, and help you develop realistic goals that fit your lifestyle.

My approach is hands-on and collaborative. I want you to understand not only what techniques to use, but why you're using them and how to recognize when your dog is making progress.

You don't have to have all the answers or get everything right immediately. Training is a learning process for both of you, and I'm here to provide guidance, encouragement, and practical support along the way.

My goal is simple: to help you become more confident in your ability to guide your dog's behavior.

Let's Talk About Your Dog

Let's discuss your dog's needs, your goals, and how we can work together to create positive, lasting changes.
